I started Nestling Keepsakes after moving from bustling Vancouver, BC to a small town in the heart of the Okanagan wine country with my husband and son.

Crafting beautiful keepsakes for you is a natural extension of my lifelong love of creating. Nestling Keepsakes keeps me busy with full time work, not just sewing, but bookkeeping, administrative tasks, social media, promotion, communication and customer service. I'm also a homeschooling mom to a young teenager and a part time assistant librarian! My favourite things to do are road trips with my husband and son, long walks with my dog and my friends, gardening, crafting, reading and watching movies.

What is a Memory Bear?

I make custom memory teddy bears and other keepsake items from your clothing, blankets and other fabric items. I can help you get that precious clothing out of the closet and on display in your home. Whether it’s your baby’s hospital blanket, coming home outfit or first Christmas outfit, your Grandma’s favourite robe or Grandpa’s flannel shirt, I can take your fabric and upcycle it into a beautiful keepsake.

I will treat your cherished fabric with respect and use it to make the most beautiful keepsake possible. You can trust me to make the best choices to highlight your special fabric on your keepsake memory bear. If you have ideas on how you would like specific pieces of your fabric to be used, please let me know and I will follow your requests whenever possible.

Quality is the number one goal in everything I do. By drawing on years of experience in graphic arts and customer service, I am able to create the most attractive keepsake with your treasured fabric while guiding you through the process with compassion.

How Can I Get a Memory Bear?

The process is easy!

1. Choose your preferred keepsake animal - I offer over thirty animals in two sizes, as well as my tiny animal collection, memory pillows and more - and order it online.
2. I will email you within 24 hours with instructions on how to prepare your fabric and get it into my hands. I require that you mail or drop off your fabric within a week of ordering.
3. When it arrives here in Keremeos, BC, I will email you a confirmation with your ship date or pick up date.
4. Once I ship your completed keepsake order you will be notified with your tracking information.
